Wow, what a week!!!! Chelsea wins Champions League on penalties, West Ham get promoted, Mrs F and I, with our mini, do the London to Brighton Mini Run!! Crickey!
So, Chelsea have won the Champions League, and did it in style!! Bayern put up a hell of a fight to the bitter end. Mrs F and I were freezing our butts off camping in Crystal Palace park (where London 2 Brighton starts). We found this guy sitting outside his tent next to his classic mini, with a radio listening to the game. We grabbed our beers and chairs and asked him if we could sit and listen. He was happy for the company and by the time it came to penalties there were about 20 people standing and listening!! It was great. The commentator was going on about how the German teams have never lose in Germany to penalties.... Ha! Guess he was eating crow pie all evening... :o) Bayern looked to win it, but Chelsea turned it around, and I for one was very pleased!! Means the Spuds aren't in the Champions League next season and that's fine with me!!
The Hammers have been promoted back to the Premiership! With the 2-1 win over Blackpool, it secured their spot... I know alot of Hammers were celebrating!! I'm glad their back, I missed going to see games with a couple of Hammer fans when the Gunners played them. I think it's too bad that some of the Hammers fans are still calling for Big Sam's head on a proverbial platter... I guess it's not enough that he got them back in the Premiership? It because he's not having the players play the West ham way... Who cares if you're winning games and moving up a league? Crickey, let's hope for their sakes they keep playing Big Sam's way, we might have some competition at the top!!
Our mini club- Mini Freakz of Sussex all joined in convoy to go up to Crystal Palace and camp overnite for the run in the morning... It was freezing, but kept ourselves occupied riding free bumper cars til 9pm!! Then sat around talking shit and yelling 'Buttscratcher!!!' 'Timmy' and 'Potatoes' til the early hours of the morning!! We all had a fantastic time and are going to feature in Mini World!!
Soooo........ Still no word on Mr. Robin Van Persie? Don't panic peeps, I'm feeling confident. Arsenal are watching Capoue, Toulouse midfielder as a maybe alternative to M'Vila. Capoue would cost about half of the £22 million that Rennes want for M'Vila. Milan and Atletico Madrid are also interested in Capoue, which could make the price go up. Man city are interested in M'Vila and so talks for transfer have stalled. But, hey, at least Wenger is out there looking like he means to buy some players, which will help keep RVP in an Arsenal shirt!!!
Till next time sports fans!!
Take care and use sunblock!!! (now that summer has finally gotten here!!!)

Another one for the history books!
Wow! What a way to finish the Premiership, shame I missed it!
I know what your all thinking, what an absolute twat. I didn't mean to, I've just had a lot of things keeping my mind occupied. I've also found since losing my job I haven't been to pubs as much due to having £0 and I don't have Sky Sports, so hence the lack of football. I still haven't had a chance to watch MOTD yet either. Anyway enough about me..
Arsenal have done it! But only just by a spectacular block from Kieran Gibbs in stoppage time, which won us the game. Don't forget the 3 great goals from Benayoun (4), Andre Santos (30), Koscielny (54). I had a friend txt me when we were 2-1 down and laughing at me (I didn't get it till later though, haha!) I can imagine who was watching it was feeling the pain as Spurs were 2-0 up. But we took third away from them and good riddens, they couldn't handle the Champions League. Anyway I think he was just annoyed as Liverpool were losing 1-nil to Swansea, leaving them in 8th position. Which was worse than last year, but at least they got some silverware. We always have a banter about it but then end up sticking together to take the p*** out of his Man Utd housemate!
Here's a little something that makes me laugh in the mornings!
Well here's the first team Stats courtesy of Arsenal.com
So as this season comes to an end, so does a wonderful man and club legend that is Pat Rice. We will be sad to see him go as he's spent most of his life at the club, helping them win 3 Premier League Cups and 4 FA Cups. He got a good send off from the players though!
But I think Arsene Wenger is going to miss him the most. Awwww.
Isn't that sweet. :)
Transfer News
Lukas Podolski is getting geared up for next season and insisting he can play anywhere. The 27 year old has recently been signed by Arsenal from Cologne and will be joining them after the Euros 2012.
Robin Van Persie is keeping things quiet at the moment. I hope that he decides to sign another contract with Arsenal, I have a feeling in my gut that he will. Lets hope it's right.
He's just won Footballer of the Year Award and there has been links with Man Utd, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcalona and Juventus. Anyone can understand why he's so valuable, but if he does decide to leave it will be a massive blow for the Arsenal squad.
Arsene has said that finishing third might persuade RVP to stay, and that he is proud of the clubs season.
Younes Belhanda is discussing his future at the end of the season. The 22 year old is being talked about with quite a few clubs such as Man City and Inter Milan. With Arsenal's name being mentioned as well. But he's made it clear that no decision has been made yet.
Alessandro Del Piero, even though he's 37 years old has said that he doesn't want to hang up the boots just yet and the idea of coming to England sounds appealing. He is a World Cup Champion and has broken records while spending the last 19 years in Turin.
Theres been links with Arsenal, Spurs and Queens Park Rangers.
So my friendly fellows lets hope this weather brightens up, and gets warmer so we can all sip our ciders over a nice glass with ice or a refreshing pint of beer while we watch the Euros and hope none of our players come back injured and England might get past the group stages (stifles a laugh).
Enjoy and I'm gonna put my feet up and my mind at ease from the stress of moving and watch a film. Have a great week guys and gals!
Lots of love
