Arsenal vs West Brom pre match view

3 disappointing games in a row for the Gunners made sure of a tense ending for the last game of the season. The Norwich draw made die heart fans like myself sceptical of a certain 3’d place finish. However I never lost hope and expected our North London rivals (Tottenham) to drop points. And they did. Arsenal and Tottenham are locked on 67/66 points but the Gunners have a 1 point goal difference advantage which could prove very valuable. To secure the 3’d spot we need to beat West Brom, I added some history on them.

West Bromwich Albion, also known as the Baggies or (less commonly) the Throstles, were founded in 1888 and reached the pinnacle of their existence in 1920- when they were crowned champions of England. Generally considered a yo-yo club that tends to get relegated from the Premier League quite often, they boast high-profile annual derbies against Aston Villa and Wolves whenever they find themselves in the same division.

I expect the Gunners to be too strong, and secure a 3-0 victory. But the Baggies can’t be underestimated; they have quality within their ranks with blokes who know how to find the back of the net. They have 2 advantages over us: Their at home, and they have nothing to lose. Arsenal on the other hand, didn’t display consistent away form this season and we have a lot to lose if we lost. The past 14 results of the two clubs vs each other follow.
