Don’t let your hard work go to waste…

37 games played, 1 left to go, 4 games without a win leaving us in the somewhat fortunate position of 3rd place 1 ahead of the Spuds and 2 ahead of Newcastle (thank you Man City and Aston Villa). We have fought hard to get back in to contention for a Champions League qualifying position, but for some reason this team hasn’t grasped the opportunity in the final stretch of the season to seal 3rd and grant the long suffering Gooners a stress free end to the season.
3 of those 4 games without a win have been at home against Chelsea, Wigan & Norwich, which have resulted in 2 points out of a possible 9, which is simply not good enough! Do we deserve a CL spot based on these performances? No is the honest answer, however a CL spot is based on 38 games not the last 4.
Arsene needs to have a long chat with the team that he decides will play against West Bromich Albion next week, making sure they are all fully aware of the importance of the result and their performance. We as supporters will accept nothing but 100% from each and and everyone of them! There can be no distractions from what is without doubt our biggest game of the season.
We’ll be missing Sagna who has for the second time this season broken his leg, and he’ll also miss the Euro Championships for France. Appalling luck for in my opinion one of our most reliable players, get well soon Bacary. I tweeted this and stand by it… I love Arsenal, with or without 3rd or even 4th place, with or without Champions League football, they are my team. Agree? If not maybe you should support someone else!
This week I suggest you all grow your fingernails, relax as much as you possibly can because I think Sunday may be exciting but most of all stressful. So in the words of Shakespeare from King Henry “Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more”
Do it for Pat Rice, do it for Arsene Wenger, do it for us Gooners but most importantly do it for yourselves. Keep the faith gooners! And I’ll speak to you soon, Taz.

  1. I will support Arsenal come hell or highwater but I just wish they made things a little easier for us fans occasionally.
